Is the weekly cleaning of the Contact fixation really needed?

Lubricant in the container looks separated or dirty, what to do?

Stir thoroghly Discard old lubrication and clean the container with warm water and soap before filling new lubrication fluid. Add new lubrication and stir thoroughly.
